About the Department

The Department of Pathology focuses on understanding the causes, mechanisms and effects of disease through the study of tissues, cells, blood and other biological specimens.

The department provides students with a strong foundation in diagnostic pathology and helps them understand how pathological changes relate to clinical signs and symptoms. Teaching combines theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory experience and clinical correlation.

Teaching & Learning

The department follows an integrated approach combining academic instruction with laboratory-based learning.

Practical learning

Practical training helps students understand how laboratory findings contribute to disease diagnosis and patient management.

Students gain experience in examining specimens, understanding microscopic changes and interpreting pathological findings while developing the clinical reasoning required to connect laboratory observations with patient conditions.
